Amber Tamblyn Will Carry on the "Grudge" Curse
by Binh Ngo | January 25, 2006
Discuss Article
Amber Tamblyn has been cast in the lead role for "The Grudge 2." According to the Hollywood Reporter, she will play the younger sister of Sarah Michelle Gellar's character in the sequel. The movie will reportedly center around "new characters who find themselves connected by the curse." In "The Grudge," victims who died horribly came back as vengeful spirits and passed on the curse. Director Takashi Shimizu, who directed the Japanese originals, will be directing the English-language sequel as well.

Well, Amber already flexed her horror ability in The Ring and did quite well... so who knows, we'll see.

supposedly sarah michelle gellar will make an appearance long enough to connect the two movies...(prob means she'll be dead before the opening credits roll)

Yes..
As HoneyComb said, Gellar made the the first Grudge bearable. It's just like in Spiderman, where Kirsten Dunst is being edited out of the movie. Gellar is being edited out.

No more stupid horror stories imported from Japan -- Godzilla wouldn't work here (even the high budget Emmerich flick failed to draw), so stop with the killer tapes, houses, eyes, etc. retreads.

I'd personally prefer another sequel to Ginger Snaps, but with studio recognition. That saga has gone from strength to strength, I thought with all original characters from the first film dead after "Ginger Snaps II:

I'd personally prefer another sequel to Ginger Snaps, but with studio recognition. That saga has gone from strength to strength, I thought with all original characters from the first film dead after "Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed" that there was no where left to go but "Ginger Snaps Back" proved me wrong by placing Ginger and Brigette in 19th century Canada and retaining modern language was genius. Here's To "Ginger Snaps 4: Wicked Turning"!

I think it was her boyfriend, but maybe I am wrong. Please, I would like to erase the memory of ever watching it. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, that is what I need.
