But even the film's seeming singularity proves deceptive once it becomes apparent that When Do We Eat? is less a Passover movie than a Thanksgiving or Christmas movie dolled up in Jewish drag.
And whats the problem with that? Can't Jews have a family drama just for them? Maybe that's why I like the film; finally, a film done by Jews for Jews! I loved that it covered the spectrum of observance, from Jewish Atheist to the Israeli to the Baal Tshuva Chasid.
