Henry Jaglom, the best professional "home movie" maker in the business, produced, directed, wrote and starred in Always. Also appearing is Jaglom's ex-wife Patrice Townsend, here cast as...his ex-wife. Showing up one night at Jaglom's home to finalize the divorce decree, Townsend is persuaded to stay by her former husband, who hopes to talk her out of dissolving the marriage. 'Always' takes forever to end and the characters all return home with little more than a hangover. You'll probably feel exhausted as well.
A couple on the verge of divorce spend a 4th of July weekend entertaining their friends and examining why their own relationship went in the shitter. To be honest, this has some interesting moments, but overall just seems to be sending the message that any relationship is a tenuous house of cards waiting to fall apart
