I'm always amused by the sort of backlashes that Shyamalan is in right now. Well, M. Night Shyamalan makes vague, subtle fantasy thrillers. If you've outgrown it, don't blame him.
"...it was exactly whati wanted in an M. Night Shyamalan movie."
What, Fred? Nothing??

Couldn't agree more.
The fact is, the movie was scary, and that's what people pay for.
Unless they were expecting an artistic SAW spinoff, in which case they came to the wrong type of movie.
Classic style, classic horror with a bit of a modern twist.
This movie has Hitchcock writen under the label.

An attempt to discredit an idea by pointing out a common grammar mistake and a potential typo. You would be the stupid one buck, you would be.

now im not one to be angry at shyamalan for not making a movie that i think is worth watching in many years, but when you say "the fact is..." it simply doesnt float. if i can borrow your phraseology, the real fact is that your assertion that the "movie was scary" is simply your opinion and cannot be heralded as cold, hard fact. and as far as a comparison to hitchcock, i guess i just don't see it. at least from my perspective hitchcock made films that dealt with conceptual issues, for instance vertigo dealt with the nature of obsession, shyamalan has always made morality plays.

"His actors are all good at talking ominous. They speak very basically and make obvious yet evasive comments, but that's the language of these panic movies."Seriously, are you retarded?
