Top CriticThe film is interesting to look at for the ways in which the different stories are edited together, but the technical element isn't enough to keep you fully engaged, and eventually it all becomes a bit dreary.

Love Is Work has no shortage of verve and the movie's most revealing moments achieve some of the raw power you find in John Cassavetes's like-minded expeditions into the darker recesses of the human heart.
