Zombieland was the same movie with laughs, but if you take away the comedy, what is left? Nothing, on a vast scale.
This review is plain stupid...but wait! What can you expect from a critic who likes Zombieland and Ninjas...
Nov 25 - 02:58 PM
but zombieland is awesome
Sep 29 - 03:23 PM
your a "top" critic?
Nov 25 - 04:24 PM
So it's a bad movie because it "offers no hope of renewal, no exit from the hell it so persuasively depicts"? Um, I think you're missing the point of the film...
Nov 25 - 04:35 PM
if you did not notice which you obviously didnt the theme of the movie was that there is hope while all throughout the movie there seemed like there was no escape and that only and bandits had survived and amazingly depicted the bonds of a father and son at the end of the movie there was the family that would take care of the son after the father had died. this adds a sense of hope at the end that there is still beauty and honesty in this dying world but you didn't see that all you wanted was a dry comedy and actin film. if you are top critic than taste is dead in cinema
Nov 26 - 10:42 PM
it sucks because it's not a comedy? So you dislike movies that leave any kind of lingering emotional depth but prefer cheap fleeting laughs? Id say "Wild Hogs" is the film for you!
Nov 25 - 05:41 PM
Except Zombieland is about zombies. Did you even watch this film?
Nov 25 - 09:26 PM
Don't compare this film to Zombieland you stupid hack critic
Nov 25 - 11:56 PM
The National Enquirer is a cheesy tabloid with laughs, but if you take away the comedy, what is left? The New York Post.Someone who works for The New York Post should not be a top ANYTHING.
Nov 26 - 05:47 PM
Kyle P, that's the funniest thing I've read all day.
Nov 28 - 05:39 PM
Wow. Just watched this film today and read the book last year. And now I make the mistake of reading your review. I'll be the first to admit you have a tough job Kyle. So I shall say this with all due respect. You write well, but your taste and perception are poor.
Nov 27 - 07:45 PM
hmm.. i say you are an idiot. that is all.
Dec 12 - 09:45 PM
It seems grossly inappropriate to compare a movie like The Road to Zombieland. It's too bad that you and many other reviewers cite a "lack of hope" in this film as one of its negative characteristics. Perhaps you should read the book. The point is that there is a lack of hope and still this pair tries to push on - to simply survive. If you need to be spoon-fed the message in this story perhaps you should consider an alternative career.
Dec 14 - 09:24 PM
uh. but there was no 'zombie' in the movie, dude. wtf. please reply to our stupid replies. thx.
Dec 20 - 05:08 PM
Um, point of interest mouth breather?Zombieland? Only humans were an endangered species there. The Road? Nothing is left alive save for some incredibly tenacious humans. Based solely on that glaring omission, I hereby judge your entire review lazy minded and merit less.

"This review is plain stupid...but wait! What can you expect from a critic who likes Zombieland and Ninjas..." < I couldn't agree more.. And if you take the comedy away from Zombieland, it's still a whole different movie compared to The Road. First of all, The Road is a sensitive movie. But i guess you just can't see sensitive movies as good movies..

This guy is an idiot. He was probably expecting 2014: The Aftermath (sequel to 2012) where there are things like:1. a token black dude who says things like "Dayyyum. Where all da honeys in da world go?"2. someone who knows the only place in America where animals / plants still thrive. 3 a happy ending as a Miley Cyrus song plays over the end credits.Stephen Hawking can play ice hockey better than you can review movies. In other words, you suck.

you're a major dumbass! ... this picture should've been nominated and should've won numerous oscars ... why don't you go find a new profession moron jk lol ;*)

Here's another great review from Kyle Smith...I can't imagine what you do in your free time. Battlefield Earth is probably more your speed.

No surprise here coming from a joker who gave Wall-E a poor rating. He epicly fails at seeing the meaning of the movies he reviews and only gives high marks if the movie works towards some ultimate payoff at the end. Plus, he's stupid enough to mention in his review this movie has no moral. By definition, the movie itself is a warning against nuclear aggression. What an ass.
