A shame that such a gorgeously mounted and lovingly crafted entertainment will not be seeing play on the only screen that could ever do it full justice: the big one.
An Absolutly brilliant adaptation of Alexander McCall Smith's novel of the same name. So well directed, acted and photographed in what was Minghella's last film to date. Watched by over 7 million people here in the UK and I'm sure it'll be the same in other countries.
