It would be nice to say that Fade cures the very thing that it’s about, sleeplessness. But that wouldn’t convey the pretentiousness of this psychological drama.

He has lost the ability to communicate, keeping a journal to express his private thoughts with no intention of sharing it with his wife Anna (Sarah Lassez of THE BLACKOUT and MAD COWGIRL). His doctors wonder if he's suicidal. Anna denies it, knowing he is in a waking nightmare where delusions and reality become more and more indistinguishable. As his disease gives way to despair, loneliness and alienation, he and Anna hang on to their last shred of hope until the bitter end. --© Pioneer Theaters [More]

Reviews for Fade
Arthur provides some overly mannered narration via a journal he's been keeping, but that also offers few clues to how much of what we're seeing is real or imagined.
Words need not apply to this overly drawn-out picture where all 74 suffering minutes become an artificial scramble of missed attempts at isolation, lost love and disintegration.
