Critic Review - Toronto Star

It's only when he starts to weep for the future of a population that won't heed his warnings that Ruppert shows his humanity. It's made him abandon his cause and quit writing.

you wrote that daring to have hope is what takes real bravery... are you a religious nut who just sits around praying for things to change instead of doing anything? hoping doesn't do anything, creates nor destroys anything, and solves no problem whatsoever. by completely blowing the truth off you're dismissing the entire basis for life in the world (oil) and its end which will create the demise of the human race if something isnt done. to keep 'hoping' for change is utterly useless.

This review feels like a child wrote it. Starting to believe many of these jokes(like Ms. Barnard) on RT need a new line of work. Leave the journalism for the journalists please...or at least go back to school if you plan on continuing to write rubbish that is unbearably readable such as this intensely boring review.

PS. The voice that you attempt to portray in your writing needs to clearly be reevaluated. Please lower it to your level of writing expertise.

Ms. Barnard, I urge you to reply to me as a fellow journalist. How can you write your article against this film and put that up against Roger Ebert's review of the same film. I actually gleaned useful information from his review where as your fell flat (almost making me angry that I wasted my time reading it.)

We all learned in journalism school about showing vs. telling right?

Maybe the reason he doesnt come across as having humanity is because he has been struggling desperately with this and having people like you ignore him for THIRTY YEARS. MAYBE THATS WHY HE QUIT. Top Critic my A**. you are just looking for an excuse to give a bad review so you'll stand out and get more hits.
