God I love Ebert. He's at his best when he's sarcastic. Not only is he a great critic, he's a great writer, too, and that's what separates him from most other critics.

And I personally don't feel he rates garbate high. He just one of those rare legendary critics that isn't actually a film snob. He's pretty good at recognizing what a film is aiming for. He's not going to expect every film to be high art. He knows how to appreciate a popcorn flick if it does what it aims to do well (e.g., Salt).

This film, however, seemed like contrived garbage from the first time I saw the trailer, so he's right on the money.
