Critic Review - Globe and Mail

The result is a political thriller refreshingly long on grown-up dialogue yet lamentably shy on, well, thrills. This chatty thing does go on.

Glad to see that someone agreed with my wife and I. This movie has been way over-rated because of the fame of the director.

Agree 1000%. I love cleverly written thrillers and most of Polanski's work, but this is simply an extremely overrated BORING movie that is directed well. I can't really understand how this movie entertained anyone. In my opinion, critics should act less like they're grading a film student and stick with recommending enjoyable movies. Those aren't always mutually exclusive, but it was here.

Oh, gosh. I loved this movie. It's my first Polanski film ever, and I already see why he has such a reputation. I wonder what you guys didn't like about it?
