The doctor who treats her is disturbed by the nature of her wounds. More women are attacked while, at the same time, a young man in town has the same nightmare of a girl being tortured in the 17th Century, while a man holding a ledger looks on. The ledger comes into the possesion of the doctor who makes the conclusion that the thing attacking the women is an incubus, a mythological creature that must transform itself into human shape in order to procreate.
