Goyer Talks Magneto, Super Max, and Others
Summary
Some of his projects have been more warmly received than others (The Invisible, anyone?), but there's no arguing the fact that David S. Goyer is a person of great interest to the fanboy faithful, which is why we just know you're going to want to read his exclusive interview with Wizard! Back to Article

![]() on Aug 30 2007 07:42 AM Ugh. The Green Arrow movie idea is so terrible. Why can't we at least get a real Green Arrow movie first? (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 08:27 AM a real green arrow movie would be incredibly lame i think (especially if made by some hack like the guy who did daredevil/ghost rider). it just doesnt translate well onto the big screen, in my opinion. (unless they made it a period piece back in the 50s or something with some communist stuff thrown in). i think supermax is a good compromise, and sounds like a cool idea. but thats just me (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 08:34 AM Green Arrow always struck me as lame in general. However, the Magneto movie should be totally awesome. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 10:29 AM I just don't get Hollywood. They remake Porky's but decide to do a sequel a 1933 movie that could really use an update. Why don't they just remake The Invisible Man, skip the sequel and toss the Porky's remake into the garbage bin where it belongs? (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 30 2007 10:38 AM I like the idea of Supermax too. The seeming glut of superhero movies are begining to follow the same origin formula. This takes a different direction and the Green Arrow is a good fit. On another note, anyone heard the rumors about the Superman Returns sequel? From what I've read, someone [Braniac maybe?] followed Superman back to Earth after his vist to the remains of what was Krypton. This someone teams up with Lex Luthor to take- down the Man of Steel once and for all. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 10:54 AM The Idea of SuperMax sounds awesome, and could be good but,but why if called Super Max? Does that stand for Super maximum security prison for something like that? The only thing I truly know is that the Magneto is going to big kickass. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 12:58 PM I wonder if the green arrow movie will have any visits from different DC heroes? They are all susposedly have each others backs right? (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 03:58 PM Magneto is one of the lamest characters ever. Very hokey. Do something else please. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 30 2007 04:04 PM The original Invisible Man is a classic. There would be no need to do a remake. James Whale and Claude Raines rule. A sequel would be fine though. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Aug 31 2007 06:20 AM In reply to this comment (#1086190) Magneto is one of the deepest and most developed supervillians of all time with a compelling backstory. How is he 'hokey' at all? I have mixed feelings on the Green Arrow. If they give us a character similar to the one in JLU, it could be good. The premise sounds interesting though. (Reply to this) |
