lavish and gorgous to look at this is the 4 th version of this & MGM pulls out all the stops on this technicolor spectacular.

A true Classic with the deep resonating voice of Howard Keel and the beautiful Ann Blyth who sings like an angel and does a duet with Vic Damone on "Stranger In Paradise".

ummm...some good costumes and an ok plot. the songs were not memorable in any way and the movie dragged on.

A passably enjoyable musical ... light and entertaining, but with no real memorable songs and uniteresting choreography. Howard Keel and Sebastian Cabot are engaging, but the rest of the cast are utterly forgettable.

GAUDY MUSICAL, SAVED BY SOME REALLY GOOD SONGS. WAY TOO MUCH FOR MY TASTE. NOT MUCH OF A FAN OF MUSICALS.

...that this movie, "Kismet", had to keep me interested. It wasn't great, or even very good, though it did have its moments. There's a lovely song called "Stranger In Paradise", but that's about it. It was interesting to see that Vic Damone had actually done something. He was cute back then too, but Howard Keel was GORGEOUS!!!
