Goddamn you're retarded. This guy's a Pulitzer winner and this movie stands at 29% and you're crapping on him.

You're the retard Quadzilla. Ebert gave the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a rotten rating and that got 90% and he asked the same question for that film, why do people make these movies? The way Ebert works is if there's gore in a horror film then it sucks, in his narrow-minded opinion anyway, and just becuase he has a Pulitzer that doesn't mean shit. People make these kind of movies because there are a LOT of people in the world who love them, myself included. And really, is there any other reason to make a movie? Ebert is one of the most stubborn critics ever and he uses his status to convince the public to hate these kind of movies too. So, yeah, it's good that people are thinking for themselves and crapping on him.

Should have put "not that this movie was good" at the end. But you lost all credibility when you used "retarded" :)

Pulitzer for criticizing fil...er movies?! I'll give you this, it's a step above Worlds Best Grandpa, and two steps below a cable Ace award. The dude is a hack douche and pro-censorship. He's the film version of the thankfully defunct PMRC

For a lot of reasons, though some are aware that a movie will, I saw Sorority House because I wanted. Fortunately, my nightmare came true... it did suck. Oh, I'll take 1/2 of your advice and watch "Prom Night" and "Dressed to Kill" back to back to compare.

For whatever reason, critics in general can't tell the difference between a movie and a film. A film is a work of art that causes thought provoking discussion to occur. A movie is a form of entertainment that causes one to escape from reality for a couple of hours."Prom Night" is a movie that scares and entertains you for ninety minutes. Roger Ebert, like all critics, want to critique every movie, holding it to the high standards reserve for films. Most critics, though they will never admit it, are one the payroll of the movie studios. So how does one believe that a critic's review is impartial or unbiased.
