Cage Signs on for LaBute's "Wicker" Remake
Variety brings news of an impending horror remake that's beginning to sound pretty interesting: director Neil LaBute ("In the Company of Men"
will be mounting a remake of Robin Hardy's 1973 cult classic "The Wicker Man," and the rather busy Nicolas Cage has just signed on for the lead role (played by Edward "The Equalizer" Woodward in the original film.) "The Wicker Man" tells the tale of one detective's search for a missing girl on a remote New England island.

halose7en writes: on Mar 04 2005 09:26 PM Haven't seen the original. But I really wish Hollywood would just put in a little effort to think of something original. No remakes, no sequels, no prequels, no remakes of prequels, or remakes of sequels. Just a new idea! (Reply to this) |

I love the original movie, its just too bad that hollywood cant come up with its own ideas so it must remake this great cult classic. to hear more of my opinions on movies and stuff in general check out my journal entitled: its only my opinion, but im right.
