After three of his former girlfriends, led by Margot Bronfman (JoBeth Williams), join forces to murder womanizing male chauvinist Steve Brooks (Perry King), God refuses to admit him to heaven until he can find a woman who loves him unconditionally. For Satan's amusement, God returns Steve to earth in the form of a beautiful woman. After she gets over the shock of having the body of a woman, Amanda blackmails Steve's boss to get his/her job back and persuades Margot to give her some lessons in acting like a woman. With some effort Amanda manages to convince Steve's best friend, Walter Stone (Jimmy Smits), that Steve is now a woman. She even finds that being a woman is useful at work, helping her land the multimillion-dollar advertising account of gay executive Sheila Faxton (Lorraine Bracco), who's looking for more than just a business relationship. Funny and charming, SWITCH features a highly inventive comic turn by the gifted Barkin. [More]
