The Adventurers (1970)
Over four dozen international stars appear in this film version of the novel by Harold Robbins. Dax Xenos (Fakim Fehmiu) is the South American playboy who married Sue Ann (Candice Bergen), the daughter of a wealthy baron. After the accidental death of their child, she turns to lesbian love. Dax's father Jaime (Fernando Rey) is murdered by Italian thugs, and Dax becomes a gigolo for a wealthy American tourist (Olivia de Haviland). He also tries to raise money to seek revenge against the organization that killed his father. The beautifully photographed epic collapses under its own weight in a big budget production that leads to a forgettable film.
