This atmospheric western follows the fates of two childhood friends who, as adults, wind up on opposite sides of the law. Although Chuck and Billy were best friends for many years, their relationship dissolved after Chuck married the woman whom Billy also loved. The two cross paths once again when Chuck, now a sheriff, chases down Billy, who has just robbed a train. Chuck succeeds in catching his man, and convinces Billy to turn over the stolen loot. In return, the sheriff helps his old friend create an alibi for his involvement in the crime. However, Billy escapes from jail before his trial. Now, Chuck is after his old friend once again... and so are Billy's ex-partners in crime -- and they're out to get their share of the money. [More]
