Synopsis: Christine, a New Zealand journalist, and her American friend Lane travel to Rotorua, site of the country's famous hot springs, to interview a writer. When Lane gets behind the wheel she crashes the... Christine, a New Zealand journalist, and her American friend Lane travel to Rotorua, site of the country's famous hot springs, to interview a writer. When Lane gets behind the wheel she crashes the car, severely injuring Christine. Lane ventures on to keep the appointment with the writer, while Christine is hospitalized with brain damage and vocal chord and leg injuries. Upon arriving in Rotorua, Lane first takes up with the writer's teenage daughter Angela before starting an affair with him. Angered, Angela befriends Christine in the hospital, and when Christine is released, she goes to Rotorua to find Lane and the writer. There the four characters meet and the film comes to a disturbing and vengeful climax. [More]
