Annoyingly bereft of the whiz-bang action that a movie like this desperately needs. Still, Quaid does a darn good job.
I realize Mr. Weinberg's criticism has been posted here a few years, but I still can't figure our who the mentioned Quaid is, that does the good job.
The movie is just fine without the whiz-bang. It's primary failing is the horrible accent that Bridges attempts. (Perhaps he doesn't ATTEMPT a poor accent, but it's pretty much what he achieved.)
It's not an art movie. It's entertainment.
