Co-written by Jerry Lazarus and William H. Macy, there's a nice surprise ending supplied, plus Cattrall's in the buff practicing for her upcoming Sex and the City role, Kerr is a hunky villain, and Reeve's nicely subdued in a role he thought he would neve
Here's an absolutely tasteless, extremely sick, guilty pleasure that's not half bad.
Christopher Reeve plays Dempsey, a perfect cop, who gets paralyzed from the waist down while on the job. In despair over his condition, he asks his wife Gail (Kim Cattrall) and his brother Nick (Edward Kerr) to stage a robbery in his home and, in the midst of it, kill him. This way Kim and Nick can split a cool $2-million-dollar insurance policy, and Nick will be at peace in heaven.
The two agree to the scam, but do they know what they are agreeing to?
Is Dempsey aware they were having a torrid affair before he was paralyzed? Is Dempsey even paralyzed? And are Cattrall and Kerr going to get naked for yet another sex scene?
And what about Detective Rhinehart (Joe Mantegna)? He's never liked Dempsey because of his college education. Will he figure out what's going before or after someone gets murdered?
