A moving drama, based on Patricia MacLachlan's novel, about a young boy's longing for his mother's love. Eleven-year-old Journey and his older sister, Cat, have been living with their grandparents on a farm ever since their mother, Min, stormed out on the family years earlier. Although Marcus and Lottie love their grandchildren dearly, Journey is sad much of the time and desperately hopes for Min's return. Before his mother left, she tore up most of the family photos -- except for one picture the boy managed to save: it is the only evidence he has of his father, who went away long before Min. Even though Marcus starts taking photos of the family each day to make up for the ones Min destroyed, this does little to soothe Journey's pain. Will Min ever return? And if she doesn't, will Marcus and Lottie find a way to help Journey move on with his life and find happiness without her? [More]
