After he gets fired from his job as a greeting card writer in New York City, he learns that a Chinese relative in Los Angeles has just left behind a huge fortune for him. He then receives a piece of paper containing a riddle that holds the answer to the location of a valuable dagger. Along with his pal Lou Wimpole, an out-of-work cellist, Dickens sets off for California to solve the puzzle. In the process, they get mixed up with a one-armed millionaire, a hitman and other shady characters. Wendel also finds love in the form of a beautiful but mysterious woman named Jennifer. Will Wendel and Lou stay alive long enough to find the valuable knife? [More]
