Surely one of Disney's ugliest and least imaginative efforts.

I don't like blasting critics like everyone else does, but how could you say that about this movie! It's fine if you didn't like the story, but how could you say ugly? I'm sorry but the animation was beautiful, you could at least have given it that much.

Also unimaginative? Most of the other critics complained that it was TOO imaginative and it wasn't balanced because it was trying so many things. I dare this critic to look up the video to Hell Fire again and tell me the visuals and themes are stale and uninspiring.
I can agree with the critics saying it's too extreme with both its lights and its darks. I like the movie but that's a fair statement. But calling it ugly and unimaginative? I agree with you. The movie was anything but.

Once again Mr. Rosenbaum, you've managed to get it impressively wrong. I have a few issues with this movie, but lack of imagination?? What on earth are you talking about?

I often think you and I are watching different movies. It's the only satisfactory explanation.
