Reviews for Metro
By-the-numbers doesn't begin to describe how cliche-ridden Randy Feldman's script is.
A gilded if gritty rehash of damn near every buddy-cop movie ever made.
While the rest of Thomas Carter's movie is also pretty, it's distractingly stupid.
Yet another 'buddy' or 'Odd Couple' cop movie that isn't particularly groundbreaking or memorable.
Anyone seeking a fresh characterization of clever plot twist ought not to buy a ride of this Murphy vehicle.
For fans of Murphy or the action genre, Metro is A-okay mindless fun.
The big action scenes are cleverly staged and Eddie Murphy is back on his game again, with a high-energy performance and crisp dialogue.
The movie drags in the slow parts, and the action sequences go on too long.
Despite Murphy's consistently strong performance, Metro meanders into a rather unremarkable cat-and-mouse territory.
Eddie Murphy has declared war on America's eardrums. His new film Metro, in which he plays a police hostage negotiator, must have been financed by a wrecking yard, with help from the stunt drivers guild.
