ha ha.... i don't hate it to the point where i burn every copy i see, and when it's on TV i'll watch maybe 10-15 mins of it for laughs, but it sure as hell ruined a good franchise.... atleast batman forever still had "a bit" of burton left in there... and plus it had Jim Carrey
I love how everyone on Rotten Tomatoes says the reviewer is a douche when he/she gives a review that says the movie is good when other people say it's bad and vice versa. Why? Because it proves that you're the douche, not the reviewer.
Wow, why is it that idiots think that movies they liked deserve 100% and movies they hate deserve 0%, do people just have a problem with others having opinions? So, all you idiots posting here, why do you have a problem with someone liking something you don't?
that's why you're dumb .... i liked this movie when i was 8 ....when i see it now as an adult, and see Nolan's films, i see how bad this film is. The dialogue is trash, the story is dumb, and don't get me started on Bane. its eye candy for kids...but it is nonetheless a bad film and an insult to one of the greatest comic books. But when you watch the Chris Nolan batman films and see how well made and sophisticated they are, it makes all of the other batman films (even Tim Burtons films) look bad.
I dont agree. though nolan's flicks are definitely more technically superior and had a strong script with well defined characters bale's batman/wayne was pretty much one note. while even now when you see burton's batman you realise that keaton played the role with a tinge of madness.
which made his batman(character) more interesting.
though overall nolan's films are unarguably superior.
I feel neither films should be compared. Burton's took their inspiration from 1940's Batman comics, with a neon-filled, noir-like approach, relying on deliberately tacky, artificial-looking set pieces (hence, Bruce Wayne's seeming madness). Nolan, on the other hand, takes his inspiration from the Frank Miller-inspired Dark Age of Comic Books, portraying Gotham as a bleak, hell-on-earth, filled with all kinds of (realistic) madmen and supervillains. Due to the contrasting styles and inspirations, it is pointless to try and compare them.
Honestly I don't care about his opinion. Why? because I don't know Mr. Thompson and I don't care to. Sure I know B&R sucked and the Nolan films ressurected the series, but does everyone need to get a deep emotional message from Batman? For all I know, Luke here grew up in 1960 and loved Adam West Batman, so this was a throwback. Sure it sucks by comparison to Batman-the movie, batman, batman returns, batman forever, batman begins, the dark knight, and the dark knight rises, but some people like this crap so why does everyone need to be exactly the same?
I'm writing a report for school about what douchebags the commenters on rottentomatoes are, what do u think d-bags?
