In this action adventure story, archeologist Jake Bonner discovers the lost treasure of Alexander the Great while on a dig in Greece. A wealthy and powerful man offers to buy the artifacts that Jake has discovered, but Jake feels that they should be in a museum where they can be studied, rather than in the hands of a private collector. When one of Jake's most impressive finds, a serpent carved from stone, goes missing, he's immediately charged with its theft, and Jake has to fend off the both
