He and Oliver Platt play acting partners just trying to catch a break. Down on their luck, they end up as accidental stowaways on an ocean liner. Trapped on the ship, they get involved in hilarious antic after hilarious antic, helped by a fabulous supporting cast including Tony Shalhoub, Lili Taylor, Isabella Rossellini, and the nearly unrecognizable Alfred Molina and Campbell Scott. Reminiscent of MONKEY BUSINESS as well as early Woody Allen (the Woodman actually makes an uncredited appearance in THE IMPOSTORS), the film is a wild romp, expertly put together by Tucci. [More]

Reviews for The Impostors
Tucci firms up an intelligent entertainment, giving us the lowdown on some highbrows who really aren't the sophisticates they appear.
Sputtering like a two-day old campfire, the story plays like an ad-lib sketch that was never polished or completed.
This is easily one of the funniest films of the year and in many a year. A laugh riot. Honest. Please, Mum, give me more!
The working title was Ship of Fools but should have been Abbott and Costello Take Some Speed.
