Like It Is (1998) ? A bare-knuckle fighter travels to London in a cloud of sexual identify issues and runs into a cool, confident gay club manager. The rest, as they say, is history. The best part of this movie is Roger Daltry, the lead-singer for the Who. He?s the club manager?s boss - a bitchy, aging queer who plies the boys with money and favors. Unlike most gay films, this one has a positive ending, which, I suppose, makes it somewhat romantic. It?s a British flick and their accent drives me crazy. I could only understand half of what they were saying. Still, if your boy is being a pain and you feel like giving up, it?s the kind of movie that will get you up off the couch and dialing his cell phone number.
