Movie Info

A group of friends discover that they don't know one of their fellows nearly as well as they imagine in this unusual horror tale. Jared (Mackenzie Astin) shows up at the home of his best friend Austin (Todd Field), wounded and bloody and telling a horrible story of a strange man killed in his apartment. Hoping to calm down their hysterical friend, Austin and Jared, with their friends Violet (Natasha Gregson Wagner) and Emma (Dina Meyer) in tow, head back to Jared's apartment to survey the damage. They soon discover, however, that there is more to the story than Jared led them to believe.more

The developments are not so much shocking than bewilderingly confusing.

I love movies like this but I hate reviewing them - they must be seen and felt to be properly appreciated, and I never feel I do justice to my feelings on the page. I hope you reward these filmmakers by seeing this one.

...a clever concept that is given uneven execution by scripter Zach Helm

Sweetly funny and thought-provoking, "Stranger Than Fiction" truly isn't a "Will Ferrell movie."

This was a nice surprise treat. I'm a huge Dina Meyer fan and it was a blast to see her up front and center again. It's a quick tale full of "dark comedy" and a couple surprises. It's the kind of fluff you'd read on an airplane, but that's what makes it a great rental.

This movie is not well known at all. It is one that really fell off the radar. Great movie about friends covering up a muder. Good plot, good acting and great ending.

Excellent movie with a twist at the ending.
