Lucas Black and Ellen Burstyn star in this made-for-TV movie from Disney, in which a poor boy dreams of owning a horse named Flash. The boy's father can't afford to buy the animal and it falls into the hands of an unscrupulous trainer, much to the boy's sorrow. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The story of Flash is sad and suspenseful but very inspirational. It is based on a true story. The horse information is genuine, believable, and ultimately positive. The acting is more than competent, and the content is appropriate for all ages.
