OK I'm jazzed about this just because Crispin Glover is signed on to play Grendel. That and a Gaiman script means they'll get my ten bucks.

However, Angelina Jolie is not exactly what you'd call box office gold anymore (ever?). All she's got going for her lately (ever?) is a curvy profile.

I'm also surprised that Zemeckis and Glover and working together again.

Crispin Glover is one those under-rated actors that never seem to get their chance. I still (and will forever) say that he should have been cast as Joker for The Dark Knight. He would have been perfect.

howdy everybody this is my first post and i am elated its on my favorite epic poem. can't tell you guys how exicited when i will munching my popcorn to this epic movie. i mean with this cast i hope my happiness is assured. beowulf truly is the original hero and he deserves to have a woman like angie at his side. still, i will be sad when he kills the original tragic villian in grendel. to see more read the self titled grendel and i am assure it will leave saddened about this monster looming defeat. anyway sorry to go on, i mean i'm on r.t. and i' going tobe here for a long time

Crenshaw, your opinion on miss ANGELINA JOLIE couldn't me anymore wrong. in my first ever rotten moment, crenshaw hasforced me to list miss JOLIE accomplishments and it is astonshing. First, off have you ever heard of "GIRL, Interupted" and "GIA" my friend because miss Jolie recieved a supporting Oscar for the former and Golden Globe for Best actress for the latter. Also, Gia has a 92% tomatoe review and girl, interupted was a fresh 52%(hey thats because of that loon winova ryder wreck it), Box office totals for her Tomb Raider movies combined to make nearly 200 million and it was based on a video game. So tell me how this all time se vixen is not good for one of the greatest tales ever.

I KNOW , I KNOW,... ALEXANDER!!!! Russian accent for a greek hero, upstage by the gorgeous ROSARIO DAWSON.

Still, its not fair to judge her on that one epic poem disaster because overall she has more than PROVEN HERSELF AS A Fine Actress in both box office and critical praise! SHE IS a Goddess, Crenshew respect that for goodness sake!!!!1

Can't say I've ever read the poem, even in high school. Was never required. I got [i]Pilgrim at Tinker Creek.[/i] : shoots self : The DVD should have the poem as an extra.
