"Syriana" boasts an all-star cast that includes George Clooney, Matt Damon, Amanda Peet, Chris Cooper, Jeffrey Wright, Christopher Plummer, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher McDonald, Alexander Siddig, and William Hurt and follows the interconnected storylines of players big and small affected by the pursuit of power in the global oil industry.
Suggested by Robert Bauer's CIA memoirs "See No Evil," "Syriana" is written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, winner of an Academy Award for Best Screenplay ("Traffic")
The Warner Bros. release opens in select cities November 23, and goes wide December 9.
