Sean McNutt has been dumped by his girlfriend, kicked to the curb by his parents, and his acting career is at a standstill. The one thing he has left is his job waiting tables at South Philadelphia's most notorious bistro. Sean's sorry life and his eccentric place of employment provide the humor in this independent comedy from first-time filmmaker, Patrick Hasson. Wil Keenan plays the hapless Sean whose misfortunes lead him into among other things, painful S&M trysts, being blackmailed, and moonlighting as a super hero for children's parties, the only acting gig he is offered. If this comedic blend of food and romance seems to know its territory, it is because of writer/director/editor Hasson's experience of over eight years waiting tables while hoping for a life in show business. With cameos by adult film star Ron Jeremy and B-movie director Lloyd Kaufman. [More]

Poorly directed, depressingly dull comedy with hardly any laugh-out-loud moments - a waste of a talented cast. Full Review |
