Critic Review - Las Vegas Weekly

It may be dressed up with some clever language and A-list actors, but it's still the equivalent of the smart kid in class who ignored the assignment.

I suspect that Josh Bell is just projecting his insecurities about actually being the smart kid in class. Furthermore, he doesn't get the joke.

A-list actors? Of course Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper are A-list, but the person he chose for his main character (also himself) isn't even close to be considered A-list. And please, think about a movie before you critique it. That's just embarrassing for you.

Did you not watch the movie? He TRIED to adapt the Orchid Thief but couldn't, so this is what he came up with (that's what the plot of the entire movie was, Kaufman's inability to adapt the book). And it's fascinating to watch.
