Critic Review - EmanuelLevy.Com

The film's worth seeing for Charlize Theorn's stunning performance, based on complete physical and psychological transformation, but as a dramatic feature, it lacks an interesting perspective and is underpopulated in terms of characters.

I completely agree. It is a great movie that will stick with you for life most likely (if not the film than Charlize Theron's performance will) but it's not one you can watch over and over again because it's not ambiguous and lack depth.

I agree. As great as this movie is as a study and as a drama, the under-characterization, excluding the acting powerhouse that is Theron, of everybody around Theron's character almost makes this movie feel stuffy, campy, and empty (at times.)
