The life of a prison warden is never easy, but when they hold the fate of one of the most dangerous serial killers in American history in their hands, it takes a tough character to cope with the pressure. Dennis Hopper portrays the warden in this tense thriller, while Pavan Grover plays the crazed killer Jesse Mowatt. Mowatt is due to be executed under state law, but first psychologist Diana Purlow (Dina Meyer) wants to probe his mind. Hopper's warden is totally against the idea, but has no say in the matter. Disaster ensues when the execution of Mowatt goes horribly awry, resulting in the dangerous criminal escaping. The facts don't seem to add up, as Mowatt should have died in the electric chair, which leads to some probing, and fascinating, questions as to who he really is. [Less]

...expect a load of head smashing, face shredding, blood spurting, brain eating, and body frying, most of it without any plausible explanation.

Expect no suspense, no surprises, no shocks, no original ideas, no interesting characters, no meaningful dialogue, and no kind of resolution that makes any sense whatsoever.

It's incredible that Unspeakable features a fairly impressive cast...given how completely and utterly bad it is, irredeemable on virtually every level.
