Even as I noted a glitch here and there in the plot, I was aware that the movie itself, and especially the character of Lana, had enlisted my sympathy.
(***): Well-acted and effective movie on the horrors some go through in regards to immigration into the U.S. Good script but hampered by an ending that seems tacked on.

Lana?s Rain was a breath of fresh air in the midst of Hollywood excess and stomach turning glamour. The movie was not flawless; however, precisely this imperfection attracted me the most. It managed to deliver reality as it is, unattractive, unfiltered and painful with no sugar on top. The actors, Nick Stoilov and
Oksana Orlenko, delivered an emotional drama with many twists and turns that captured people?s attention from beginning to end. Two thumbs up.
