Synopsis: Three short tales of horror are featured in THE CUTTING EDGE: THE NIGHT BASEMENT. Host Rod Surly fishes through the trash collected in his basement, and each piece of junk has a story behind it.... Three short tales of horror are featured in THE CUTTING EDGE: THE NIGHT BASEMENT. Host Rod Surly fishes through the trash collected in his basement, and each piece of junk has a story behind it. Starring Clint Howard, the first tale, FOREIGN BODY, is about a burglar who discovers that the idyllic house he's robbing is not so peaceful after all. The second, TENANTS, features a group of friends who agree to care for a house overnight, and discover something horrible inside. Finally, a college student slowly loses control of his hands in HANDS OFF, directed by Fangoria editor Mike Gingold. All three films were originally screened at the first B-movie Film Festival, and united by Sub Rosa Studio so that each could find a larger audience. [More]

  • Let host Rod Surly take you on a tour through terror as he digs through boxes of seemingly meaningless junk in his basement…. meaningless junk, sure, but junk with a story to tell! First up, a middle class house, looking like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Simple, comfortable, ordinary… yet harboring a deadly secret. And tonight a small-time cat burglar will find out just what that is in… FOREIGN BODY. Four young friends, happy in life, take what appears to be a simple job, in exchange for free rent, they'll serve as caretakers for an old house. When strange things start happening, they first blame it on a prankster in their midst. But soon it becomes evident that nothing human is to blame for what is happening in this house in… TENANTS. David is an ordinary college student with a not-so-ordinary problem – he seems to be losing control of his hands. They begin to act up at the most inappropriate times and places. Soon he won't even leave his apartment, but that won't save him in or his friends in… HANDS OFF. Trash to some, but for Rod, a treasure of lost horrors in this set of stories from THE NIGHT BASEMENT called…THE CUTTING EDGE.
