After she goes missing, the body of Claudia's daughter Angela is discovered by the police. Five years later, Claudia is still distraught over the senseless murder when she receives a phone call from a young woman claiming to be her daughter. Bruno, a now-retired cop who was in charge of the original investigation, takes pity on Claudia and decides to help her track down the caller.
