Well, I'm seven years late in posting this, Kim. But with the plethora of mindless drivel that passes as entertainment, it is hard for me to grasp how you could call this "numbingly simplistic". But, I've also come to realize that there are critics who are hopelessly jaundiced in their view of life. You crush the Long Leaf Violet with your heel to get a better picture of a bowl of plastic flowers.
