Movie Info

With her communist husband, Julio, behind bars as a political prisoner, the desperate Elvira (Leonor Watling) is forced to take a job as a maid for Pablo (Leonardo Sbaraglia), a German-born Argentinean and Nazi sympathizer. Complications arise when the two begin an affair, and Julio, newly released from prison, sets out to win back the woman he loves. This politically tinged tale of romantic betrayal is set in Madrid at the close of World War II.
