Movie Info

Delusional housewife Gregoria (Carmen Maura) has suffered the numbing one-two punch of an abusive husband coupled with religious dogma. But her life takes an abrupt turn when a housepainter tells her of a paradisiacal town in which he once lived. Gregoria decides to travel there and becomes the nursemaid to the strange son of a rich, dysfunctional family. Soon, however, she comes to believe that the family's mansion is haunted.

DVD First Viewing, 1 Carre film seen The Promise was a little surprise for me. Usually when Megan decides to rent a film from the "fourth row" at Blockbuster, it is usually one of the worst films I have ever seen. Please do not make me recount the misery that was ten minutes of The Smokers. Megan rented this film
