The Mexican revolution provides the backdrop of this costume adventure set during the 1860s. It begins as a young woman and her mother journey to Mexico to visit their silver mines and end up abducted by a band of thieves. Their leader is a rebellious nobleman trying to help the peasants with their struggle. At first the woman resists him and only shows concern for her mines, but eventually she succumbs to his charms and decides to help his cause. Meanwhile, the supervisor of her mine tries to stop the renegades by blowing up a dam and flooding the mine. The revolutionaries are forced to surface and when captured, the nobleman is sentenced to death. Fortunately, the peasants rally together and save him.more
