The cinematic panache is always evident, the artistry undeniable, but the assault on the senses produced by the rapidly-shifting window dressing smacks of impatience.
A simplistic "life of crime" tale without an emotional core or an interesting story or colorful characters we care about.
Not even Pang's flashy style can make up for the lack of interest here.
