Dancing in Twilight (2005)
Erick Avari, Mimi Rogers, Louise Fletcher, and Kal Penn star in director Bob Roe's heartfelt tale of devastating loss, unfading love, and the courage that it takes to carry on despite being consumed by grief. The living embodiment of the American Dream, Indian immigrant Madhav Singh (Avari) was a successful businessman, loving father, and happily married husband until a sudden tragedy claimed the life of his beloved wife Jaishree. Critic Reviews for Dancing in Twilight
This was like doing a samba to a funeral dirge - the look might be there, but it doesn't connect with the emotion of the experience.
The movie makes a stirring plea for compassion, and anyone who's even remotely feared losing a loved one can relate.
Almost laughably mournful...would be substandard even for broadcast on a basic cable outlet.
