Reviews for The Bubble
[Fox] paints an involving, layered yet humor-filled picture of idealistic young adults trying to make a difference
Fox may still have some good movies in him, but The Bubble isn't one of them.
The Bubble, which manages to be effortlessly breezy without shortchanging on topicality, epitomizes [Director] Fox's adroit talent for juxtaposing the personal and the political.
Fox does better in his serious dramatic mode than he does with light comedy, at least to my taste.
Fox’s mix-and-match sampling of apparently incompatible genres nails the nervous blend of vitality and desperation that is Israel today.
By exploring both sides of the Semitic playing field, Bubble is the antidote to unrewarding diatribes like Paradise Now -- although its final verdict is equally pessimistic.
A poignant--if hardly credible--gay West Side Story, Middle-Eastern style.
Eytan Fox renews the courage of Martin Sherman's landmark 1979 play Bent with his bittersweet new film.
Although the head-shaved, sprightly Eytan Fox might just be a prince of the Kosher New Wave emanating out of Israel for the past decade, he's definitely the king of the faygala division of the same movement.
