What do you think of the singing?

I teach this and like to compare Hearns/Lansbury to the Burton film. I love the latter but miss Hearns's voice and Lansbury's comic flare. Johanna is superior here. Bonham-Carter is brilliant and sexy but her best songs, Worst Pies and Have a Little Priest, lose the humor of the lyrics. The whole show is made darker and much of the humor is gone, but it is still a wonderful film.

It was good. I don't like musicals but I loved this movie which I guess makes it my favorite musical ever.
