Director and visual effects artist Robert Kurtzman (Wishmaster) helms this supernaturally-charged frightener concerning a sorority hazing ritual involving an abandoned house, an empty coffin, an ancient curse, and a vengeful ghost. Saw series star Tobin Bell headlines a Dimension Films release which also stars Green Street Holligans' Terence Jay. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Aside from the admittedly effective casting of Saw's Tobin Bell as a crazy old coot, Buried Alive is conspicuously lacking in overtly positive elements...
It's too bad then that Buried Alive isn't more menacing. It's got the fright formulas down pat. But unlike other retro fear factors, it can't quite deliver all the gruesome goods.
Compared to many Slashers I've seen lately, and that's quite a lot, this was pretty good. From the same director as the Wishmaster and starring Tobin Bell of the Saw films. It is a bit slow building up to the kills, but when they come they are quite gory and different to the norm. A bunch of uni friends head out to one

Again another horror that is expected to be rubbish which doesnt disappoint i haven a clu as to why its called buried alive when they get killed of one by one and two are only buried alive towards the very end so its a pretty typical pointless horror
